Contemporary aesthetics and functionality design

The only urban campus right in the heart of Madrid, ML28 Madrid Urban Hub offers a high-energy, collaborative working environment balanced by rolling parkland, pine trees and bespoke landscaping at every turn.

The overall appearance is very normal ; one notices, however, a certain fineness of touch, the precision of a way of working with metal that demands the most unerringly chosen and modern of materials – a fineness and precision that can be read as perfect clarity of intention.

Designed by Alejandro de La Sota in 1989, the building not only represents an essential part of Spain’s modern architectural history, but also exhibits a remarkable use of methods that were highly innovative at the time.
It was commissioned as a computing centre for the Postal Savings Bank and Securities Depository, lending it considerable historical and functional significance.
Today, under the expert guidance of acclaimed architectural studio Ruiz Barbarín Arquitectos, this unique building has been given new life and purpose, realigning it with contemporary needs while honouring de la Sota’s original architectural project.
